Rooted in experiential learning, the Curious Cottage Preschool integrates proven early childhood practices to support each child’s educational, social, and emotional development. The program is built around three essential pillars:
ARTArt is a vital education platform. It is ideal for exploration, expression, and building a relationship with the creative arts. We provide opportunities to experiment with artistic mediums while using art as a pathway of development.

natureLike art, nature is a versatile teaching tool and a critical part of our lives. Engaging with the natural world, students enhance skills and qualities that are a basis of scientific method and processing such as: observation, curiosity, and an appreciation for the relationship between people and nature.

movementAn essential outlet for energy, movement develops fitness, understanding of our bodies, mental health, establishing positive habits, honing coordination, and strengthening young peoples’ large muscle and small muscle groups.

These guiding pillars reflect the Curious Cottage Preschool's purpose: to nurture curiosity, spark joy in learning, and help every child grow into a confident, capable explorer of the world.
Monday through Friday, The Curious Cottage will work with our community’s youngest members. Our days will provide multiple layers of support, nurturing, and development. Playful learning and an environment of discovery allows students to emerge as more confident, imaginative and socially aware individuals. These kiddos are at the beginning of their journey as students, and The Curious Cottage will help them get off to a good start.

Aftercare from 2:45 PM-5:00 PM is offered through the Waterville Valley Recreation Department (located directly next door!) |
